Appliance Rebate to start on April 16

Just in case you hadn’t already heard, starting on April 16th and running through April 25th, you can get a 20 percent rebate on Energy Star Appliance purchases. However, the rebates only last as long as there is money which could very well be the first day.
Florida’s cash-for-appliances rebate program is scheduled to last 10 days, but based on responses in other states, is projected to run out of its $17.6 million in funding on the first day. – Gainesville.com
$17.6 million sounds like a lot but it will really go fast. It is all part of that stimulus that you are going to eventually pay for. Probably after Obama is out of office.
