Imagine, if you will, that the Democrats actually believe in change for the good of everyone.
Our country continues to face the same fundamental challenges it faced yesterday. Our health care system still needs reform. Wall Street still needs to be held accountable. We still need to create good jobs. And we still need to continue [...]

President Obama’s first 100 days of mistakes

President Obama has passed his first 100 days as President and has racked up quite a list of Gaffes and Mistakes in the process. Many of them things that he said he wouldn’t do while he campaigned.
Here are some of those great mistakes:
54. After saying he wouldn’t have lobbyists in his administration, Obama made [...]

Where’s the stimulus? Looks like pork to me.

I haven’t heard anything good about either version of the bill, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 H.R. 1. Nothing suggests that this will actually do anything for those it is supposed to help.
There is lots of money for projects that would be best financed through the normal channels. But there doesn’t [...]

So much for Bipartisanship

In a discussion with the folks over at Politico, Senator John Kerry(D) made it quite clear that he doesn’t care if Republican leaders want to discuss the Stimulus bill the Senate intends on passing or not.
Sen. John Kerry says Democrats should ignore Republicans’ demands about the stimulus plan if they’re going to vote against it [...]

Both of our Congressmen voted Nay to Massive Government Spending

Good news and bad news for those of us who believe in limited government spending. Both of our elected Congressmen for Northwest Florida have voted “No” on the Massive Pork Spending resolution H.R. 1
While this wasn’t a surprise coming from Congressman Jeff Miller(R), it does come as a slight surprise from Congressman Allen Boyd(D).
Congressman [...]

Now a word from the real people affected by the Bailout of the Big Three, the UAW

On the heels of the begging from the Big Three Automakers, the UAW just has to put it’s two cents in.

Why not just say that if you don’t bail us out we will go on strike? Or just come out and say that we will make sure that many others go down with [...]

Wait… I thought it was only $25 Billion. Now it is even more?

After the insane display of hubris by the big three motor companies at last months grovelling in Congress for a loan to keep the unions at bay, GM, Chrysler and Ford have returned with their tails between their legs and rightfully submissive.
Briefing Congress on their plans they came up with figures they believe would help [...]
