Charlie Crist to announce Independent Bid for Senate Seat?

Predicted by many in the press, it could be that Charlie Crist will be announcing his switch to Independent in his run for the Senate seat.
Dr. Foglesong said, “A person I know in the Charlie Crist campaign has told me Charlie Crist would veto the merit pay bill, and he did. Further, he said he would announce tomorrow, that’s Friday, that he would run as an independent.” - MyFoxOrlando.com
Polling suggest that this is the only way he can even win against Marco Rubio.
I don’t know if it will happen today but the longer he waits, the less likely he is to win. He has until the end of the month to decide.
