Things are looking grim for Congressman Boyd. His days appear to be severely numbered if you want to believe current polling and predictions.

Nate Silver over at the New York Times has Congressman Boyd losing to Steve Southerland. There is a 13 point spread in favor of Southerland. This translates to a 70 percent chance of a pickup for the Republicans in Florida District 2.

There would have to be a major upset at this point for Boyd to win. I know many have already cast their vote and I don’t know many who have actually voted for Boyd.

Let’s hope that the predictions prove correct.

UPDATE: Boyd is done. Good Riddance. Southerland has prevailed in this contest. Though it really was a no brainer since Boyd consistently ignored voters wishes.
