All of the public pressure about his job at Northwest Florida State College has caused him to reconsider and resign.

“I will not, and cannot, allow any controversy over my position at the college to divert our focus from serving the needs of the people we represent,” he told his colleagues. – NWF Daily News

While this is great news, it has already done damage to his reputation and integrity and throws some doubt into the decisions he makes as the Speaker of the Florida House.

At a time where there is lots of questions about play for pay in the Democrat party, now is not the time for Florida House Speaker Ray Sansom to be doing things that can be controversial. There is already a corruption image problem for Republicans.
