Obama must not have been in Congress for the last two years
Senator Obama must have spent two of his four years in Congress sleeping and the other two campaigning. He has obviously missed the boat as to who actually controls Congress. Especially who controls if for the last two years. The two years that have been the worst for the economy in the last 20 years or so.
“This is coming from the party that’s been in charge for eight years,” he said. “They’ve been running the show. Been up in the White House. John McCain brags — 90 percent of the time I’ve voted with George Bush … and suddenly he’s the change agent.”
Now I am pretty certain that the Democrats won control of not only the House but the Senate in the election two years ago. Everything has gone down hill since. They have done nothing but focus on trying to flee from Iraq with their tails between their legs. Where is all this legislation that they promised their base? Where is all this change they promised their base?
Where was Senator Obama during all this? Happily voting the party line. While he kept to the same party line for 97% of his votes the other votes were mostly “present” or he was just not there. Not a single piece of legislation authored by him.
Then we can also look at his running mate, Senator Joe Biden. He sure isn’t the agent of change. He hasn’t done anything to suggest that he will help Senator Obama provide this change. Biden’s lobbyist ties actually will hurt some of the arguments that Senator Obama has against Senator McCain.
If anything, it is Senator Obama who is the same as what is currently in office. Senator John and Governor Palin are the ones offering real change.
