Schip

The democrats are still at it.

Trying to smear anyone and everyone who disagrees with their position on programs which would obviously increase the massive budget we already have.

Let’s ignore the fact that to implement the bill they want enacted would cost the tax payers billions in taxes. Let’s get to the meat of the issue.

The program is for the “Children”. That’s great. I don’t think anyone can argue if it was just for the “children”. Unfortunately, it goes far beyond just children.

The Schip program also gives to families. That means Adults. True, many may need this service. I should know.

I also know many who actually use it and some who are on it because they have to be.

All this program would do is increase the minimum amount that a family would have to earn to qualify for this program. In many cases this would cover families that currently have insurance which covers their children and families.

In other cases it would allow other families who can afford to have insurance a free ride on the backs of the American Tax payer.

A case in point is the family which recorded a radio address for the Democrat party.

Subsequent research has shown that the family is not poor by any means as posted by the Captians Quarters Blog.

1. Graeme and his sister Gemma attend the Park School, a private school that costs $20,000 per child.

2. Brown wrote that the family lives on $45,000 per year, but icwhatudo notes: “Halsey Frost has owned his own company ‘Frostworks’ since…1992 so he chooses to not give himself insurance. He also employed his wife as ‘bookkeeper and operations management’ prior to her recent 2007 hire at the ‘medical publishing firm.’”

3. His business is housed in a $160,000 building — that he owns.

4. The Frost family lives in a recently remodeled 3,000-square-foot home that cost $485,000.

It is programs such as this that people such as the Frost’s abuse. It is what causes the skepticism in the Republican party that the Democrats actually mean to do anything other than tax and spend. Regardless who it helps or hurts.
Personally, I think Florida has a better idea on child health care than that of the plan floated by the Democrat Party.

Of course the “Derangement Syndrome” displayed by the Democrats often blinds them as to how to accomplish their goals.

Thankfully, Bush has pledged to veto this increase on our taxes.

Because that is what it will ultimately be. Just so some of the middle class can drop their employer insurance for a free insurance from the government courtesy of the Democrats.
