Senator Obam, the candidate for change… You have got to be kidding.

Senator Obama has been trying to hammer Senator McCain on lobbyists. But the facts actually speak for themselves on that.

Senator McCain doesn’t request Earmarks. He has absolutely zero earmarks for 2007. And probably zero earmarks for his entire 26 years in office.

Senator Obama has “Requested” 210 Earmarks last year alone. He has requested over $700 million in earmarks.

Where does Senator Obama think that Earmarks come from? I’m pretty sure that lobbyists have something to do with earmarks. He doesn’t just make up the ideas of giving money to people without someone coming to ask him for it.

Even if they aren’t Federally Registered Lobbyists, Obama does take money from Special Interests. They just aren’t registered lobbyists.

Maybe it is just a matter of nuance. Ed Morrisey over at Hot Air has more on this.

Unlike the insiders, you see, he doesn’t take money from federally registered lobbyists or special interests, and from now on neither will the Democratic Party. Except that he does sometimes take money from federally registered lobbyists; and so does the Democratic Party, per its congressional reelection committees; and he’s overflowing with cash from employees of special interests, including employees of those dastardly oil companies; oh, and needless to say, he misleads voters about all of this by choosing his words very, very carefully even while he’s busy tossing out zingers about McCain’s lobbyist “old boys network.” (Get it?)

Wonder if Senator Obama has bothered to ask Senator Biden about his lobbyists ties and earmarks? Of course he may never get an answer since Biden won’t disclose those without some new legislation to open up government.

Both of these Senators are part of the “Good ol’ Boys network”. Tax and spend. Spend it as much as you can to gain support for your career. Senator Obama shows no change here.
