Senator Obama needs to get over it.

Senator Obama tried to slam Senator McCain on the tenative deal with the US and Iraqi governments on quitting Iraq.

“Senator McCain has stubbornly focused on maintaining an indefinite US presence in Iraq, but events have made his bluster and record increasingly out of touch with reality,” Obama said in his statement.

“While Senator McCain continues to offer unconditional military and economic support for Iraq, I strongly believe that we need to use our leverage with the Iraqi government to ensure a political settlement.” – AFP

While I am sure that it was the thought of Senator Obama that his steadfast opposition to troops being in Iraq at all contributed to the agreement, I just can’t help to wonder if this would have ever happened if we had followed Senator Obama’s plans for retreat.

Sure, Senator McCain had said that we would stay in Iraq for as long as it is required to ensure a stable Iraqi government. Senator Obama has never had such a notion. He could care less about any agreement with Iraq. Nor could he care about the Iraqi people. Just his narrow minded opposition to helping put back together a country we took apart.

This is just another one of Senator Obama’s failures in Judgment. And it shows his absolute lack of experience in military and foreign affairs.

If this is a look at his foreign policies, then how would he have handled the invasion of Georgia if Russia had failed to withdraw. Or how about the increase in Nuclear activity by Iran? What would he do if the Iraqi government he is so desperately trying to throw to the wolves collapses and Iraq falls further into chaos than from when we invaded originally. Or perhaps even invaded by Iran in a grab for the land and oil.

With the decisions Senator Obama has made lately, it is no surprise that he continues to lose ground to Senator McCain.
