Thank you President Bush
I cannot help but think about all of the things that President Bush has done while everyone else is focused on President Obama’s speech.
While I didn’t always agree on the actions of President Bush, I do have to say that I think he was a good President. Not the absolute best, but not the absolute worst either.
There could have been many ways that he could have improved situations that arose during his terms as President but there are also many things that he did right.
History will be the best judge of his presidency and I feel that his actions, in most cases, will be vindicated as time moves on.
I have to be honest here. I didn’t watch it. I never intended to watch it. I really don’t want to know much about the inauguration of President Obama. But I couldn’t help hearing about some of the things that did happen because it was everywhere.
I feel saddened by the childish way many of President Obama’s supporters treated President Bush with their Jeers. Do they honestly think that since President Bush is gone that everything is going to be completely different? I think they have a rude awakening waiting for them when they get home.
While they played games and called people names in their living rooms, President Bush was making decisions that affected millions of people, in not only the United States, but in the entire world. Not only did he make decisions that were good, and sometimes great, but he made decisions that weren’t popular and stuck by those decisions.
Sure, President Bush didn’t have the eloquence of President Obama. But I’m sure that history will show him to be a good President.
I, personally, would like to thank him for his service to our great country. Just as he often thanked others for their service. I wish him well in whatever endeavors he attempts and that history treats him fairly.
Thank You President Bush.
