The Democrats Won!

That’s right.  The democrats ended up with majorities in both the House and the Senate.  They also took a majority of the Governor seats as well.

What does this mean for us?  Not sure really.  Only time would tell.  But if things go as what the Main Stream Media would have us to believe, you can see work being done to have our troops withdraw from Iraq and possibly impeachment proceedings started under the guise of a congressional inquiry.  That seemed to be the biggest mandate that the democrats had before the election.

It also means that those tax breaks you so enjoyed will probably expire without even being considered for renewal.   Your taxes will be going up.  All to help lower the deficit.  Of course it was well on its way towards that already but you can’t tell a democrat that.  They would definitely disagree.

Now is the time to start thinking about why the Republicans lost and how do we fix it.  The presidential Elections are only a short time away.  And if this last election is any indication, we will want to repair the damage caused and bring back the voters to the side of the Republicans.  We can do this with Fiscal responsibility and moderation.  Centrists are easier to elect than Right or Left wingers.  We can’t let the Democratic upset continue into 2008 or you will end up seeing more big government.

Fortunately, the Republicans control enough of both the House and Senate that the Democrats will still have to form a consensus on most things they do.
