Will the Florida House bring up the School tax free holiday?

Sure it is in a pinch but the Florida government should also realize they are not the only ones feeling the pinch. Ordinary citizens are feeling that pinch as well.

Last year, everything looked good for the school sales tax holiday but it was dropped at the last minute because it was too “costly”.

Many people didn’t buy their school supplies all up front at the start of this school year like they have in the past. There was no incentive to do so. They can spread the purchases out over the year and buy less if they need to.

The Florida Legislature is scheduled to work on the budget here soon. One question here should be is there any relief for the citizens of Florida? Will there be any cuts or tax free holidays?

I recently sent an email to Speaker Ray Sansom (R) to see if they plan on bringing this subject up at all this year. I will let you know what I hear from him as soon as I get the reply.
